Compiling veejay from svn is pretty straightforward, however on [http://www.debian.org some] [http://www.ubuntu.com distributions] it's not.

Veejay has been packaged on "Ubuntu Breezy" using the [http://asic-linux.com.mx/~izto/checkinstall/ checkinstall] script.
A copy of the SVN 554 is available here:

[http://www.dynebolic.org dynebolic] is a live linux that can be run from cd. it can be customised with modules on a usb stick.

There's a dyne module for linux available here:
